It's been two years since I've been to Tiffany's. It's quite a bit different now. There's plenty of good things about it - the place seems quite clean, it's brightly lit (which I actually don't like, but I know a lot of people do), and the staff is very friendly. The waitress, Ivana, had a Russian (maybe?) accent and was delightfully sassy. The lunch/dinner menu was really small, though. Just a front and back menu. There were lots of typical greek diner things on the menu (many entrees came with kalamata olives or feta cheese) but sadly there was no lemon rice soup or saganaki. The sandwiches were all a bit odd, too. Pay attention to the description of each item. So the food's not the best (maybe breakfast is better) but I did like the relatively low prices and the friendly staff.

First of all, our waitress and her trainee couldn't have been nicer. Food (breakfast) was really good, service was great ...

Food is great! Portion is huge! Friendly staff! Was staying at a hotel near the hotel and decided to drop by this place after checking it out on yelp. Order French toast, sausage, eggs, and orange juice. All was delicious!! Def will come back for lunch.

Typical Diner food. Good dined food though. Wings were dripping with grease which showed me their oil was too cold when they were cooked. Philly chicken sandwich was the allstar of the meal... Lots of chicken and perfectly cooked vegetables. On a negative note, when I was paying the manager was too rude to even look me in the eye and acknowledge I existed. He was too busy trying to micromanage his bus boy teaching him how to mop. Next time Id like to see a little more interest in what I thought of the place... Especially since all of these reviews talk about the great new management. Tonight that was not the case.

OMFG this place is horrible. The food is so fuckng bad and the service is even worse. Avoid at all costs. You'll get a better meal down the road at 7 Eleven. This place is connected to the Comfort Inn, and there is nothing else within reasonable walking distance for the average schlub. As such, they put absolutely no effort into preparing the food because the hotel guests have no other choice unless they walk two blocks up the street. (Walk up to Evans Place if you want a real meal). The eggs over easy were plated broken, the toast wasn't buttered, the hash browns were swimming in oil and undercooked, and the pancakes were absolutely disgusting and not edible.

Awesome staff, good vibe, tasty food, low prices. If you're in the area on business or vacation, and looking for a good breakfast spot, Tiffany's is the spot.

The must have breakfast? Yes. Explore the menu at Tiffany's. I have been enjoying breakfast out with my son on Sunday's. He orders the breakfast burrito! I usually enjoy a veggie omelette. The food is spectacular! The portions are more then generous! And absolutely satisfactory and beyond!

We stopped to Tiffany's recently since it was right next door to the Comfort Inn where we stayed. After a day of travelling it was awesome to be able to just walk across the parking lot and have a great meal. Our waitress was very friendly and we were there for a late dinner, so the place was fairly open. Everything tasted like a great home cooked meal so I was very happy with the quality. I highly recommend the chicken dumpling soup! In reading the reviews below it sounds like the previous owners ran a pretty crappy place, and I have to say that this new ownership/management are doing a great job with things. If you're in the area for travel or vacation, or just live nearby and want to try someplace new, you won't be disappointed.

I have been there twice for lunch / early dinner with my family. Both times the food was very good, the portion size fine, and the service excellent. I ordered the turkey club sandwich both times, and the loved it. My daughter, who is as picky as a typical four year old, actually cried when we had to tell her the tomato bisque soup wasn't on the menu that day. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals as well.

My co-worker and I order from here about once a week. The new owners are very friendly and are doing a great job. Food is always good and generous portions. Love the split pea soup, patty melt, Greek salad, chicken salad wrap and breakfast.

Very kid friendly - great service, solid food. Good value for the money. Had dinner - will come back again to try breakfast. Soup was excellent, patty melt and monte cristo very good as well.

Loved the ambience of the restaurant. Food variety great. Service excellent and friendly! Must be a family owned business. Takes ownership at all levels!

Ate here last weekend. I had the soup with chicken club sandwich. Soup was really salty and the sandwich was nothing special. The seasoned fries were good. Bottom line? Food was salty, server was a little rude, and the bathrooms were dirty. There are better options available.

Stopped into Tiffany's this morning for breakfast before my cross country flight from O'Hare. It's just a few minutes from the big hotels north of ORD. Service this morning was awesome and the food was delicious. I'm glad we decided to skip the hotel breakfast and venture off the beaten path to this place. Keep it up folks!

Used to go here until the previous owners took over...than it turned into a dump. Heard it was under new ownership so we decided to give it a try! The food was amazing! Not only did the food look good in pictures, it looked amazing in front of me! The service is fantastic...finally a place that cares about their customers! The new owners are extremely nice and are doing an amazing job! Definitely going back!

Been here 3 times so far - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. No complaints about any of the visits but breakfast was definitely the best visit of all and is served all day. The staff is friendly and the food was good. Parking lot can be a little cramped but it's shared with a hotel so that varies. We live in the area and this spot is a good option.

We like many people have not been here in a long time. Very glad we came back. Gina our server was fantastic. The food and service was 100% better. Give them a chance.

I never ate here under the old management so I can't compare the new vs. old Tiffany's. I stopped in here for breakfast the other day. Food was good, portion generous, price reasonable, and service was fine. The place was clean and bright. Why four stars instead of five then? I only had one meal here, and it was breakfast. While it was perfectly fine and I'll come back based on that experience, they'll have to impress me with something more complicated before I can rate them a full five I liked it and I'll probably come back.

New greek owners running this place now! This place is so much better since I went last year on New Years Day. It's down the street from my work so I said let me give it a shot one more time. I was very blown away by my experience compared to my last visit. Highly recommend this place now with the new owners.

Was hoping for decent diner food but was disappointed. I got the special biscuits and gravy. Gravy was bland and pasty. Husband ordered an omelet. It had cut up turkey breakfast sausage links in it. He had asked for fruit but received potatoes. Kids got a pancake and scrambled eggs and bacon. It looked okay. I'm always disappointed that diners never have real maple syrup. I just can't eat that fake stuff.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!!!! I went in here 6 months ago and it was Horrible!! But I just went in there today and its soooo Nice! They painted the inside. Its Clean and Fresh! The Service was Great!! I had a Skillet and my husband had an Omelette! I know there's a lot of BAD reviews in the past but everyone definitely has to go back! Its so much better! Great for Kids also!!! We'll be Back!!!

There are a few times where I hesitate to try new places, yesterday was one of those days. But I'm glad I found Tiffany's! It's under new management, staff is friendly, food is great at a reasonable price. I would definitely be back for more! Amazing breakfast , I recommend skirt steak & eggs or corned beef hash and eggs! You will not go wrong coming here!

I recently gave Tiffany's a bad review, and Nick, the new manager offered to comp me a meal. So I took him up on it. The new owners have improved things, the place was pretty busy on a Saturday morning, and most of us were happy with our food. A fresh coat of paint in cheerful colors, new menu, (mostly) new waitstaff -- and the bathroom is no longer falling apart and freezing! The new crew is doing a good job with turning the restaurant around. We're willing to give it another try. Thanks, Nick.

Ate breakfast there late Saturday and I will not be back there....The orange juice glass just just a bit larger than a shot glass.....two tiny strips of bacon were served....sunny side up eggs were ok (hard to screw that up)....coffee ok...waffles were slightly bigger than a silver dollar....I was not impressed....I've been to Mrs. V's just north of this place on river road....Mrs. V's was a much better place because it provides generous servings.

In one word "exceptional" I ordered the biscuits and gravey with sausage patties and the taste was quite savory. The biscuits were homemade I also had 2 pancakes which beats Ihop in taste and quality. The waitress even worked with me. I didn't want to pay for 3 pancakes which was $6.15 (a little bit expensive I believe) so I ordered a short stack which was not on the menu and she accommodated me nicely. I will definitely go again.

Today my husband and I decided to try Tiffany Restaurant under the new management. The servers and busboys were very efficient and friendly. The food was outstanding! I ordered an egg white with veggies burrito in a spinach tortilla which was very good. My husband ordered an omelet which he really enjoyed. The potatoes are not those frozen shredded kind like you get at most places, they are real potatoes! They were prepared just right, nicely browned with alot of flavor. The pancakes were very fluffy and light. The coffee was made just right. They serve individual international delight flavored creamers too! We will definitely be back for breakfast! Looking forward to returning to try them at dinnertime. Andrea T.

I agree with Michele. I used to come here and as the ownership changed, the please went downhill. The new people are on top of things and the food has been good. I've eaten there about four times in the past few weeks. I like the egg-white omelette and the chopped salad. A friend had a reuben the other day and he liked it.

Had to do what was right and this was long over due. Tiffany is the place to go to be treated like a King or Queen on any given day. Arie is the owner, along with his family. I mention Arie because, the love and joy he gets just from being able to meet as well as serve you whatever your heart desires is crazy. The entire menu is top notch. Stop wasting your time trying to find or wishing just one place on this earth could treat you like family and have great food, I found it and I am sharing it with you! Tiffany's in Des Plaines which is located at Touhy and River road has to be part of the next time you wish to be treated like a millionaire on a day you lost your ATM card and the bank is closed. Great food , great service & better yet great prices. Try the skirt steaks, my favorite cooked to your liking as well as every other item on their menu. If you ask for Arie and by chance he isn't in its only because he is at the market stocking his place with top notch products. His family takes nothing but pride and joy in serving every person that walks thru their doors. The entire staff there takes great pride in making you feel at home. Its home away from home to me and my wife every time we are off together. Stop disbelieving there isn't a place on this earth that doesn't treat you like you should be treated as you work so hard to spoil yourself here and there. Treat yourself like a star, visit Tiffany's the next time you are hungry. I wish I could have given you guys 10 stars but 5 is long that is allowed. Hats off to you, Arie & Family. Best Wishes with your place, see you again Ray & Rachel!

After years of trying out new restaurant's, I can finally say that I found a place were I can go with my family and have a great meal! I took my wife and kids there for the first time since the new owners took over and I have to say I was very impressed! We went for breakfast and I have to say everything from the kids pancakes to the Denver omletts was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly and were going back!

Went for lunch on a weekday. The people were friendly and warm and stopped by to ask if everything was ok and thank us for eating there. But my grilled cheese and fries just wasn't that good. The bread was dry and the cheese just wasn't melted that well into the bread. You know how a good grilled cheese has that buttery greasy feel? This just didn't. The fries were ok, but generic. The iced tea I ordered was very strong and bitter and tasted like Lipton. I would come back and try a breakfast meal, But I don't think I would try lunch again.

The service was great and the food was delicious. All for a really reasonable price. I found this place on yelp while staying close by on business. Mary was my waitress and she was such a pleasure. Just genuinely nice. She was attentive without being overbearing. I got the Greek scramble with egg whites and toast. It was good and the service was quick. I'll definitely come back again next time I'm in town.

Phenomenal food. We came in on a Sunday for a late breakfast and the place was nearly empty. I had an omelet and the bf had a skillet. Large portion sizes (plenty of leftovers for later) and simply delicious. We are still raving about it! Service was slightly below average - very friendly but wasn't paying attention to our needs.

I do not know how it was under the old management. The restaurant was clean. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. This place is a typical American diner. They serve the typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. They serve breakfast all day. I ordered the energizer burger (a burger topped with eggs) with seasoned fries and split pea soup. The burger was very good. It was thick and juicy. The fried egg on the burger made it very filling. The seasoned fries was good. This restaurant serves large portions at reasonable prices.

I bought a restaurant.com coupon and decided to give this place a try since the reviews seemed pretty good and it was very close to my house. Food was good and so was their blueberry pie. Service was very slow even though there were only 4 other people and there was a hair in my soup. The young waitress did apologize and brought me a fresh bowl. However, my bill was 46 cents short of getting $15 off of $30 and they would not let me slide hence ordering the blueberry pie. The least they could have done was added 46 cents to my bill for the hair in my soup and deduct the $15 voucher.

We haven't been there for a long time because the previous place was a dump. We decided to give it another try with the announcement of new owners, new menu and newly decorated. To our surprise, the food was great! I had the turkey burger which came with soup and fresh fruit. My husband had the chopped steak and the mixed vegetables were fabulous! It wasn't the usual watered down steamed veggies. It was freshly prepared carrots/zucchini/cauliflower blend. Wow! We will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings. My only suggestion would be that they expand their dinner menu a little more.

What a great experience! The food was great but, more importantly, the service and friendliness of the staff were absolutely outstanding! Kudos to the owners and management. Your team should make you proud. In this day and age when true service is a rare commodity, you stand out above the crowd!

Delicious breakfast but what really made our visit amazing was waitress Mary. She was so sweet I just wanted to hug her before leaving. We had such a terrrible hotel stay the night before but breakfast at Tiffany's with Mary as our server made it all worth it!!!!

"And I said what about breakfast at Tiffany's? She said I think I remember the restaurant And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it And I said well that's the one thing we've got" (insert joke about the Audrey Hepburn movie here) I told my girl that I was taking her to Tiffany's and she got SUPER excited. It wasn't the jewelers she had in mind, but we still enjoyed a solid breakfast nevertheless. She loved her Hawaiian omelette and the pancakes that came with it. My eggs + hash browns + toast combo was satisfactory (but really, how could anyone possibly screw that up?) Bacon was awesome, service was fast and friendly. Good location by Touhy and I-294. The only negatives were a cramped parking lot that was difficult to maneuver around and the fact that the entrance smelled like puke. Might've just been proximity to the dumpster and direction of wind, but still, pretty off-putting before/after a meal.

Cute, clean, fast, friendly, and tasty. This restaurant is next to a cheap hotel (I didn't take note of the name but it's a place I would try to avoid having to sleep at), they somewhat share a parking lot. This had me not expecting much when I walked in. I was wrong. There was excellent service, a nice high quality loose-leaf tea selection and reasonably priced, tasty food. I had the "Love" tea which was a slightly (perfectly) sweet roobios tea. My companion had the Pearlicious tea which smelled delicious and apparently was sweet too. I love tea and I would have expected this place to serve Lipton. I had a breakfast special that was $9.00. It included 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 crepes and a small OJ. I liked Thai restaurant so much that we drove down the next morning and had breakfast again. It was packed and there was a short wait. Sherry was our the waitress and she was nice and funny. I had the corned beef hash skillet and pancakes. I stuffed myself with the delicious skillet and didn't have room for the cakes, but they looked fluffy and most likely delicious. I'd eat here again if I was in the neighborhood.

This is a cute place. Just a regular breakfast diner like an Ihop or Golden Nugget but better. The service is on the slow side and you have flag someone down for refills. The food is decent and prices are standard.

Although there wasn't a large number of customers, you wouldn't know it if only listening to the sounds at lunch time. Many of the tables filled with pairs or groups of men and fewer tables with a few older ladies. The diner was filled with conversation and the sounds reminiscent of a busy cafeteria. The clanging of silverware set down on tables, the clanking of glassware set atop dishes and tabletops and the best pop songs of the 80's. The first memorable song played; "how can I forget you girl.. Always something there to remind me.." It's a diner of no major comparison. My side salad was served with dressing that probably came out of a restaurant grade tub. French was requested, I assumed it might be too sweet but rather it was bright orange with a sour flavor. For sweet, you may like to try Poppy seed. Next song up, "Shot through the heart, but your too late.. You gave love a bad name.." Actually, the French dressing they served me, gave my salad a bad name. "Boring." My codfish sandwich then arrived with fries and a side of tartar sauce. A sandwich with fries and a tiny side of Cole slaw, a bowl of decent soup, an iced tea and a side salad; came out to be somewhere around $16 dollars. Whoa too pricey. But service was pretty good and at least the food was filling, while maintaining a stance of, not that tasty. Last song up as I arose to pay. "867-530 naw-eee-aahhh--iinneee"

This place was clean and very friendly. The decor is kind of 80's art deco??? But it works for the space and the type of food they serve. Were were greeted immediately by Mary who seated us and got us coffee, wich was standard but good. My husband ordered the country benny and I ordered the ribeye and eggs special which came with pancakes. Our food came out very quickly and all of it was hot and tasty. I asked for my eggs over-medium and my steak medium and both were perfectly cooked! The pancakes were fluffy and tart. I think they may use buttermilk. My husband's benny was really good too, the eggs were perfectly poached. The waitresses working this morning were so friendly and engaging! We will likely go back here tomorrow morning on our way out of town. They open early and the service was fast.

    (4)

Eggs Benny was as good as you'll find in the nicest restaurants for twice the price. Skirt steak was unbelievable. Pancakes were very good. Definitely a great place to start your day.

Awful! Our first clue was the dinner rolls wrapped in plastic. Then came french onion soup, actually salt water with onions, really salty. They happily replaced it with cream of chicken rice that clearly was dumped out of a can. I ordered a hamburger, my wife ordered the special roast turkey. She asked for gravy on the side because if the gravy is bad the whole dish is ruined. Well, guess what, the dish was delivered covered in gravy. Once again they replaced it and she said the turkey was so dry it was inedible. The mashed potatoes were as salty as my soup the veggies were just plain bad. Oh, and the gravy was awful too. I thought the burger was OK, that was until 1/2 hour later when my gut started making awful noises followed by a quick trip to the bathroom. On the way out the hostess asked how everything was and we told her the truth, then she said "sorry if you did not like it" as she ran our credit card for payment. My wife ate maybe 3 bites of her food, it was not like she polished it off and then complained. Just a word to the owners, if you don't give a crap when someone tells you the food was awful then don't bother asking. Maybe it was a bad day and we are the first to give a place a second chance but never again.

They have new ownership as of May 2014 here, and the interior is clean and been freshened up. Value is good here and you get a lot for the dollar. I had a $9.99 daily special, no. 1 - coffee, juice, 2 eggs, sausage, and pancakes. Wife had their Top Notch (steak) skillet for $10.99. I would like to have given them 4 stars, but the service was somewhat inattentive on the water and coffee. Wife's steak also was not very fresh tasting and they mistook or misheard a poached egg order for eggs over easy with the skillet. Maybe we'll try again sometime, but if you are in the area and a few feet away from the Touhy southbound entrance to I-294, it's an ok place for the breakfast type menu.

Very very nice visit. The steak skillet was yummy. Non-stop coffee and water refills with a smile. My surprise was the empty counter. This place must be a new entry to the area-----locals need to enjoy this place. I will be back. Enjoy the hospitality.

Terrific breakfast! Variety of menu choices for breakfast, for example, for toast, you get a choice of 4 different types of bread instead of just two . Gina, the waitress, is fantastic. Atmosphere is nice, quite, no loud noise or big screen TV. Good for family & friends to meet & enjoy. Try it you'll like it.

Great new attitude is what they advertise on their banner outside. More like same old b.s. attitude from back then. The service sure as hell made it seem like nothing has changed. I came to dine in tonight with my wife. First timers coming to this restaurant. Both me and my wife were excited about it. We came in happy, with an opened mind, and an empty stomach. We came in and were greeted by a nice young woman. We get seated, and the waitress comes to us, greets us (no name was given), and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We stated what we wanted. Nothing too bad I thought, until she came back with our drinks. When she came back, she began talking to us in a very snarky way. Her customer service was very off putting. The first time she did this, I responded respectfully (thinking maybe she just has a strong persona, and people have that). The second time she asked what we wanted to eat with the same snarky attitude, so I came back to her with same snarky attitude and told her we weren't ready. It was a tad out of my norm for doing that, but the way she talked to us, it was a complete turn off. You're in the customer service side of the restaurant and a full grown adult, act like it. Anywho, that appeared to calm her down, and when she got back, she had a more respectful demeanor. What I found odd was that she would talk to other clientel and laugh with them and have fun, but with us, it was totally different. The food was pretty decent. I ordered the chicken breast greek style with veggies, rice pilaf, and had a side soup of their chicken chipotle. The taste was decent. I happen to like less salty food (and the food was that) so I was ok with it. If you dont like your food to be skimpy on the salt, don't order what I did. My wife ordered the meatloaf dinner, and she enjoyed it. I would have given this review 4 stars had the waitress given me a friendlier service, but I'm sticking with my guns and giving this a 2. I just pretty much wanted to eat my food fast and get the hell out of there. I understand that this is a diner and not a Michelin Star restaurant. But I have been in crappy whole in the wall places and gotten better customer service then what she provided to us. By the way, the waitress was in about her 50's, had a European accent, glasses, and had short golden/gray hair. Avoid her if your coming in to dine. Give the restaurant a chance. Maybe she won't be there that day.

It took three visits to our table before our server took our order. The food had no flavor to it. The cream of chicken rice was mostly water. My father-in-law couldn't stomach his Texas skillet. The burgers had a weird texture. The BBQ beef tasted sour, which we assume it was old meat. Even the bread at the table was old and stale. We will definitely not visit again. The sign says new management, but it's just as bad as before.

This was by far one of the best breakfast spots I have ever been to. The service was amazing (Mary was a amazing), food was so delicious and the portions were perfect. When I tell you the pancakes I had just melted in my mouth.... Yum!! I will definitely be returning here!

Been here twice. Once for lunch, once for breakfast. -Good food -Ample portions -Affordably priced -Clean interior -Free parking -Waiter we had for lunch (a few months ago) was really friendly and attentive -Waitress I met for breakfast today (11/18/2014, Eastern European accent, black hair, chubby) should not be in the service industry. I was greeted with a "What do you want?" Really? I was friendly and greeted her with a good morning but with her rude reception, I decided to get my food to go. I like my breakfast sweet without a side of attitude, thankyouverymuch! I will definitely come back for food, though. I just hope waitress with an attitude is gone by that time.

So we haven't been to Tiffany's in a very long time, mostly because under the previous management the food was pretty awful.. not any more. They appear to really be aiming for the breakfast and lunch crowd which is fine, although we went to dinner there this evening. They do not have an extensive dinner menu, that's fine because I'm kind of tired of restaurants with too many items for each meal type... they tend to get it all wrong. They do, however, have specials that our server happily shared and when she couldn't answer a question, she not only promised to get the answer, but delivered it in a timely manner. Daughter had the perch dinner, which came with homemade macaroni and cheese that was really delicious! Husband and mom had chicken kiev and both enjoyed it, although my husband said that he would have preferred no gravy. I got ground sirloin with grilled onions (a hamburger with grilled onions on top) and it was perfect! Oldest son got the buffalo chicken wrap and his complaint was that it had too many flavors (there were tomatoes and lettuce. Kids menu is limited (basic breakfasts and lunch type kids food)... but the same can be said for 90% of the family type restaurants with a kids menu. What makes me give this a 4 star review? The owner greeted us when we arrived, took the comments we made to heart on a few things, and was truly friendly. I think you ought to give this passed over restaurant a try... the new owners are trying and the food is worth a visit! We will certainly enjoy having a new option for an affordable family dinner!

Great food! Great specials! The owners are so nice and took care of my family. The staff was quick and respectful. Definitely going back. Rib eye special for $9.99 can't beat that!

Was in the area and this place had good ratings so we thought we will try it out... But it was extremely disappointing... Ivana the waitress was extremely loud and rude... The freshly squeezed juice on the menu is actully canned juice... The starters we ordered were below average... I won't come back here for sure!

Loved our waitress so want to give her a shout out. We are traveling with kids and on a week day we are only the second table in the place at 9 am. It's definitely an easy drive from the convention center and a lot better than hotel buffet

Service much better with new owners! Got the egg white wrap with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. Very good. Hash browns were shredded , pretty good but a little oily tasting. Would definitely come back. Nice to be able to get breakfast for dinner.

Delicious breakfast but what really made our visit amazing was waitress Mary. She was so sweet I just wanted to hug her before leaving. We had such a terrrible hotel stay the night before but breakfast at Tiffany's with Mary as our server made it all worth it!!!!

My co-worker and I order from here about once a week. The new owners are very friendly and are doing a great job. Food is always good and generous portions. Love the split pea soup, patty melt, Greek salad, chicken salad wrap and breakfast.

Very very nice visit. The steak skillet was yummy. Non-stop coffee and water refills with a smile. My surprise was the empty counter. This place must be a new entry to the area-----locals need to enjoy this place. I will be back. Enjoy the hospitality.

Stopped into Tiffany's this morning for breakfast before my cross country flight from O'Hare. It's just a few minutes from the big hotels north of ORD.

Great for Kids also!!! We'll be Back!!!

There are a few times where I hesitate to try new places, yesterday was one of those days. But I'm glad I found Tiffany's!
